Is it your real name?

I've been thinking a lot about psuedonyms lately. Gwen Hunter was at the SC Book Festival last week and she talked about why she wrote under many names. For her, it was all about demographics. Gwen Hunter's demographics are not the same as Faith Hunter's demographics.

I always wonder about the authors that I read. Do they use a psuedonym or do they use their real name? If they use a psuedonym, why? Is there some significance to the name that they chose? If they don't use a psuedonym, do they regret it? I've heard a variety of responses to this question, but I'm always interested in hearing more.

If I use a psuedonym, I know what it will be. I plan to publish anything paranormal under the name, Tori Pryer. Tori is a shortened version of Victoria. Pryer is an anagram of my last name. What do you think?
