Write notes. Not the kind where you tell your BFF about the hot new guy in calculus. Well okay, go ahead and do that—just don’t get caught passing it in class. Whenever you experiment with your photos, make sure you take notes of what you did. This way you can replicate the desired effect another day. Post the note with the appropriate photo, and you’ll learn more from your mistakes and successes than from any book you can buy.
