I’ve discussed the use of shutter speed in previous tips, but here’s an example of how motion can emphasize the subject. This picture was taken during one of Calgary’s typical windy days. I could have used a high-speed shutter, but then the picture would have just been of the flower. By using a slow speed—and a tripod—my theme is emphasized.
