Favorite Things About Fall-- Book Countdown

CROSSING THE DEEP is set at the Smoky Mountains in November. As anyone around those parts will tell you, the prettiest time to see the mountain (leaves wise) is in October when they are just turning colors. You try to get over the mountain the 3rd week of October... it is a test of patience :)

BUT, it's worth it when you get to the top and see the views...

Great Smokey Mountains

By November, the leaves are pretty much gone and the weather has turned much cooler. The vast amounts of people dwendle and it is a great time to go if you want to hike and not see a lot of people.

In the book, that's why church youth pastor, David Andrews, decides to lead the group from Grant, GA (not a real place... well, as far as I know it's not) to the mountain for a hike in November. Unfortunately, it doesn't turn out well for three of the campers: David's brother Sid, Rachel Harker (who is trying to run from two years of pain in Georgia), and Asher Jenkins (who never wanted to spend the night in the woods again).

Look for CROSSING THE DEEP coming out October 9th, 2012!! It will be available from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and Astraeapress.com.

I'm going to be planning a blog tour to promote the book. If you'd like, I'd be honored to be on your blog! Please send an email to ohthatmomagain att yahoo dott com to schedule a date.

4 MORE WEEKS!!!!! ~Kelly
