Tip #20: Respect Thy Friend

With today’s global media and the digital camera, it’s so easy to post pictures on the Internet for your friends and family to see. But there is also a downside. People are abusing it in a way that construes bullying.

Before you post a photo of your friend (or someone you don’t like) on a site for public viewing, ask yourself this: Would I feel as excited about it if it were me in the picture?

If the answer is no, then please avoid the temptation. It might seem funny at first, but your decision could come back to haunt you.

The other type of photo you don’t want to post is the one that could give your grandmother a heart attack if she happened upon it. The Internet is teaming with predators. Don’t give them a reason to prey on you.
