Friends, have you been watching the television? I've been glued to the stories of the East Coast storm damage and just all of the natural disasters that happen around it. And truthfully, we never know when we will be next. A small storm came by my house tonight and I thought, "Wow, what if a tornado came out of this and I needed help. Who would help me?"
I saw a lady on the news the other night, crying about who would help her.
*I* want to help in whatever small way I can. I don't have a lot of money (three kids will do that), but I do have a book and that's where you come in.
FOR ONE WEEK (TODAY THROUGH NEXT SATURDAY), I'M GOING TO HOST A GIVEAWAY/DONATION DRIVE. FOR EVERY COPY OF CROSSING THE DEEP THAT IS SOLD ON AMAZON (because I can basically see a round about sale number from that site and I can't Barnes/Noble) I'LL DONATE $1.00 to the AMERICAN RED CROSS
They are a respected charity so I don't mind giving to them. I know they will be using the money for good things. The minimum I'll give is $25 (my starting point). The top limit is $200 (like I said, I'm not rich.. but I do want to do something to help.)
