A Most Excellent Day!

STATION!

Today has been a most excellent day. :) I took my littlest lady (Baby Everlee) for her 8 month pics at Sears. I do my pics a bit differently. It started with Baby Katie (who is now 5). I missed her 3 mo pics so I did 4 mo, 8, 12, etc. So anyway, the point is, Baby Everlee and I went on an adventure. Special thanks to Nana for keeping my other Ladies so I could focus on Baby Everlee.

When we got there, the photographer was very happy to see us bc it was 10 and she didn't have a costumer until 1 (yes, we were walk ins). She was so good with Everlee, however Diva Baby was having none of it. The photographer told her to smile, and she looked at her very seriously and shook her head no... and she meant it lol. Baby Everlee smiled I *think* once and that was the last picture. But it was still a good shoot. She did 4 different backgrounds, 2 different 'costume' changes for a total of 27 pictures. I ended up ordering 10 pages of pics for $65.17... I'm happy with that!

Had a mommy moment when I had to use the restroom VERY badly and was by myself with the baby, SO I had to undo my belt, to the other *things*, put my belt back on... all while holding Everlee (who was looking at me strangly... I'm sure she was thinking "Um Mama, why don't you just pee in your pants like me?). I have to admit, I kinda felt like SuperMom (Dun Dun Dun DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Then Everlee and I went to Cracker Barrel. She'd never been there before so she had a great time. The thing about Cracker Barrel (if you don't know, it's a restaurant here in the south that has an 'old country store' where you look at things before you go in... I LOVE Cracker Barrel... but it can be really really loud) is that my other kids hate it. The first time Katie when she threw up all over the place... to be fair she was 9 days old and had acid reflux, but never mind that... she hated it even after that. Chloe's not a fan of it either. So I was kinda scared to take Everlee, but I thought what the heck? SO we went, and if you have kids.. notice something...

People are VERY nice to you in stores...

People Ooo and ahhh when they see you out at Wal-mart with your baby...

People will make over your kids at church...

But you take your small kids to a restaurant, it's like you have the plague lol

They will sit you away from everyone and no one will look your direction ("Honey, don't look at them! The baby might cry and it will RUIN our meal." lol lol) I don't mind. After 3 kids, I'm used to it... however, what they dont' know is that I PREFER to be away from things, and so do my kids, so it's win win.

Everlee and I weren't really sat away from people... in fact we were at table 1. Right close to the exit (probably thought I might need to run lol)

Anyway, the waiter and I got into a great discussion about kids... he was really nice. His name was Greg. He was 30 and he and his wife are discussing when to have kids. I've noticed something else, too, waiters don't talk to me that much when I'm with my dh.

I left him a $6 tip... he was nice...

Greg the waiter asked me if I was expecting another person and I said, "Nope, just me." and his eyes nearly bugged out of his head. He told me I had my hands full and I said, "Heck, I have 2 more at home. This is a vacation." lol... and then that when he started in on talking about kids. Did I mention he was nice? Sure, it was all probably for a good tip, but I don't care. Niceness will get you things in my book! :)

We got home at around 1 and got the other ladies (who were very happy to see us).

It's been a most excellent day and I'm so happy and thankful for all of my kids... even if I don't seem like it sometimes. I love them all very very much!!! Tomorrow is shot day for Chloe and Everlee... Chloe is very excited... honestly. She loves the doctor because it's the only time she gets lollypops ;)

Much Love (and Be Excellent to Each Other)
Kelly
