Bible in 90 Days Survival Guide

Have you signed up for 'B90' yet?
If not, you still have time. The Bible in 90 Days program starts here at OTMA January 30th. If you are interested, sign up here.

There are a few people who signed up for the program who are alittle scared about it. It is daunting, but very doable :) I decided to put together a 'survival guide' for getting through the next 3 months and finish reading the Bible in 90 days (or sooner).
B90 Survival Tips
1. Pray about it every day.
2. Read whenever you get a chance. Always have your Bible with you and your reading list. (You'd be surprised how much reading you can get done in the bathroom *whistles innocently*)
3. If you've finished your daily goal and have time, keep reading. It helps to get ahead early for when those unexpected things come up later on.
4. Check in every week! Every Monday, I'll have a check in here at the blog. That will keep you motivated to keep reading.
5. Don't give up!! If you get behind, you always have time to catch up.
6. Have a support system at home. Tell everyone you are reading the Bible in 90 days, that it's important to you, and that you'd like their support.
7. Don't try to study the Bible as you read. It will be hard not to want to learn more about some of the the stories or characters you have never heard of before, but don't be tempted to stop reading and read your study notes. It will slow you down and takes away from the 'story' aspect of the B90 program. Keep a pen/highlighter handy and mark anything you find interesting-- and keep going. That way, when you are finished, you will have things marked you'd like to learn more about.
8. Mark the books off as you read them. That way you can see your progress.
9. Pick a Bible version that's easy for you to read. If you can't understand the King James Version (and aren't attached to it), pick a version you can read easily.
10. Remember, you are doing this to strengthen your relationship with God, learn more about His Word, and to spend more time with Him during your day. You'll be amazed at how much you learn.
If any other b90 graduates/current participants have any other suggestions, please leave them in comments. These are the 10 things that really helped me the first time through.
Much Love, ~Kelly
